Cooking For Good - Downtown

Cooking For Good - Blackhawk Downtown comes alongside our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness. Once a month, they will prepare a meal in the Upper House industrial kitchen that will be dropped off and served to guests at The Beacon. The Beacon homeless day resource center provides community solutions to help men, women, and children who are experiencing homelessness in Dane County, Wisconsin. They are committed to providing services that address the causes of homelessness in an environment that allows people to feel welcome, safe, and respected. Guests have access to resources and professional staff to assist them with housing, employment, mental health, and substance abuse counseling; as well as services that help restore their dignity such as showers and laundry facilities. Fill out this form for more information or to sign up to serve.
